Reviews:

FWIW, the New England Journal of Medicine just published a positive review of this book (Sharma & Wong, 355:1507-1508; October 5, 2006). I am buying it on the basis of this.Quoting the review: "In summary, Age-Related Macular Degeneration is an important reference and a comprehensive update on the subject of age-related macular degeneration. Much of the material covering the recent evidence in support of new therapies is timely. The book is a substantial achievement that will serve ophthalmologists and vitreoretinal specialists well."

The chapter by Dr. Richard Spaide is excellent. Other chapters by other authors don't even seem to have been thoroughly proofread. Given the relatively low price, I suppose it's reasonable.
